File Report: Patrol 001

27th of June, One hour past midnight

Dragin, Apoc and myself set out from the Fortress at approx 30 minutes past midnight. We set off through the dark forest, slaying any and all creatures in our path.
From there, we set out to the compound of the Ebon Skull, and observed thier base from the woods. After observing no movement or activity, we set off for the city of Umbra itself.
We encountered a woman named Elizabeth, who seemed in quite a rush. We questioned her, but she had not seen any Skullies.
We then encountered a smith named Norman. He too had seen hide nor hair of the Skullies, although he seemed a bit shaken.

Finally we spotted a man in a hooded robe. When we requested he halt, he continued walking. He also resisted any and all forms of physical restraint. He exited the city to the east, and we accosted him no more.

Approximately one hour past midnight, we prepared one final patrol of the area before heading back to base. We then came across the hooded man again, as well as another weilding a halbred. The hooded man identifited himself as Galnor, a known member of the Ebon Skull. He requested a duel, and after much persuasion I agreed.

Mere seconds into the duel, Galnor was on his last legs, when the man weilding the halbred attacked Dragin through no provocation. In short, all hell broke loose. Another member of the Ebon Skull charged through the gate, making it clear this had been an ambush.

The battle was over in a few minutes, and we forced from the city, back to our fortress. The first clash between the Ebon Skull and the Army resulted in our defeat. Apoc and Dragin performed well on thier own, but training in teamwork must be carried out in order for us to operate more effectively.

Cricket wonders, after seeing a copy of the report, whether she had taken Arlin away from his duties when he visited her home. A stray lock of hair falls once more into her eyes, and with the puff of air she blows back over her brow. A cackle of the gargoyle outside draws her attentione, and she goes to chase it away, forgetting the entire matter. So much to attend to in life around Loch Lake.
