Forced Labor, Abduction and the Like was the goings on at the Tavern Night last eve. I arrived at Molly’s house to ask her what had happened and this is the story she related to me.

Molly had arrived when the evening was just starting. She was enjoying herself visiting with old friends and meeting new ones. About half way through the evening she heard some sword play outside. Standing up and going to the door she looked out but saw nothing but a few people milling around. She figured it was just another duel.

She noticed some commotion. She got up to see what was going on. It was Wynn. Discovering Aulbry missing, Wynn searched the entire tavern calling out her name. Ditto and Molly overheard her and joined her in the search. Cat Lixen and many others at the tavern also did the same. It was discovered that she was last seen in the company of some people in red robes. They seemed very mysterious. No one seemed to know who they were or where they came from. After some questioning of the patrons, it was discovered that they were staying in Trinsic.

Just about that time a man from Yew Militia, Judas D'arc, came in saying someone outside had been attacked and dragged off and was being held by the same red robed people. Isk also arrived shortly after and it was reported that one of his members, the man that was dragged off, was the one being held. Isk immediately recalled away. The group gathered together and Molly gated them to Trinsic. Upon arriving Isk was already there and speaking to the men in red. They listened to the conversation and apparently the gauntlet was thrown between the men in red and Isk. He then departed quickly.

The men in red went in the building. Raven who was standing nearby with one of her beasts was there. They asked her if she had seen Aulbry. A regular at tavern nights and a cook, Raven, knew Aulbry. Raven said she was standing outside the jails when Aulbry went in. She said that Aulbry was being coaxed to come inside with the promise of drink.

She confirmed that there was at least one other person being held in the jail. She also said she was hired by the people in red. This was very disturbing to all the people that had come to free their friends. After talking to her for a time she said she could not leave their employ she needed the job. Others offered her work but she declined.

She said the people in red were looking for someone to handle their horses. She was needed to help unburying something in an old town or towns but she could not be more specific. The people were being hired to do the work. She did mention that one of the people they were ‘hiring’ didn’t really want to go with them. She didn’t know anyone’s names or much other information.

Inkari, Gabriel Drachen, James Bunny-Man were trying to find the man that was being held in the jail. Molly was standing alone outside the building when the men in red came out of the building and came towards her. She addressed them and asked for the release of her friend Aulbry. One came forward and the others backed away into a line observing the conversation. She told them they were breaking the law holding her against her will. They said that her (Molly’s) law was not their law. Molly pointed out that they were in Trinsic and she was as far as she knew the last living member of the Trinsic Council. The one doing the talking bared a weapon in an ethereal form showing it to her. He told her that it would become more powerful than anything ever known once they found it and he said the weapon is what he would like to show the Trinsic Council to destroy them forever. If her impressions were right she was sure he intended to move beyond Trinsic to other cities and do the same.

Aulbry came out of the building and they all tried to get her to come with them. They tried all sorts of things, telling her that one of the people there would marry her and offering her ale. Molly offered her Eggnog and she accepted the offer. Quickly Molly opened a gate to her home and everyone went in.

For several hours many solutions were discussed. Dealthagar and Ditto came and also added input on what should be done. The hope was that people would band together to address this threat to life as we know it in Sosaria. Molly vowed to visit several leaders of the lands to see what kind of support she could rally to make a statement that slavery and forced labor would not be tolerated in Trinic or any other city in Sosaria.
