Countess,

It has been called to my attention time and again that there is work to be done at the camp. At no time have I put myself forward in a role that could ever be discerned as helpful, and that is much to my discredit.

I cannot accept your assessment as being a good friend to Ashencrosse, if I cannot look at my actions in a constructive light.

It is time I do more than simply visit.

If you will attend me tomorrow morning at the camp, and set task to my hands, I will work diligently and make amends for the many ales I have drank at the theatre.

I will arrive with first light.

I would remind you that I prefer no such title as "Countess" whilst being addressed, if I thought for a moment that you had forgotten.

Your offer is a noble one, and is warmly accepted and matched. Your hands will not toil alone on the morrow. They will be joined by my own. And as such, I will endeavour to learn more of you, as you learn more of me. For indeed I call you "friend," but many questions linger still, yet unanswered.
