While sitting in a tavern with fellow clan from Stonegate, Mei feels a unexplainable pull to her consciousness, the feeling....she is needed elsewhere....
Mei turns to her King and begs for his forgiveness but she explains she must go. The King nods, "Travel safely, Mei." Mei bows to the king and fades into the shadows of the room.

Between her intended destination and her current location in the shadows Mei hears the voice of command. "Meet me at the bank in Haven...." Mei nods to herself while in the shadows and concentrates on traveling without being seen...

The shadows int the back of the Bank of New Haven stir and form a figure; slowly, that figure takes true form wearing a simple black plain dress. "I have come as requested, my Lady..." A tall, pale, dark haired figure, who is similarly clothed turns towards Mei, "...Avella."

Avella nods and her choker containing her jewel bounces a bit in time to the nod. "My sister, I am to meet a paladin and you are to watch my back."
"A...paladin...?!" Mei looks frightened a bit, but nods with assurance. "With my unlife."
"Good." Avella nods and leads out into the bustle of the streets.
After searching a bit and yielding no results They both resort to using a far more keen sense. Herbs...powder...well oiled metal...
"There." Avella points to the armored figure standing under the lamppost. Mei nods and follows her closely while remaining silent and on guard.
"You there, you look dressed for battle." Avella approaches the man and looks him over. The man appears to wear a well oiled suit of plate-mail with the blueish tint of verite metal, a golden cross painted across the helm's front, a shield adorned with a large cross on the front, and a sword sheathed at his side.
"I am." Replies the man. "I am Michal Hawk, I noticed that you are not well liked in the Lands of Tokuno and I am here to settle that matter."
Mei hisses lowly at the mention of the Islands. "So they hire Paladin hit-men now!?" Mei shrieks at him. Mei takes a stance and places her hand near a fold of her dress.
"Are you under their employ?" Avella asks the man. He does not answer either question. "Tell your employers you do not have the stomach for the mission and return. Come, Mei."
Mei nods silently and shoots the man a dark look as they walk out of town with determination.

After a bit, Mei notices that they are being followed and turns around. Again its the same Paladin from before. Mei Hisses and clenches her teeth at the man. "BACK. OFF. NOW." The man stops and reaches to the inside of his shield. "I have dealt with your kind before, and you shall not be my last." He pulls back his hand and smoothly pops a cork on what appears to be a small vial of... "Mei, to the shadows, now!" Avella commands and Mei vanishes as the vial is tossed in her direction only to land at Lady Avella's feet.

Avella jumps back and draws her sword, "This one is mine..." The paladin draws a silver etched longsword and brings them to bear. As he does so, Mei reforms from the man's shadow at his back with Mage Masher drawn at the gap between his gorgett. "NO!" Avella yells and the man elbows Mei in the gut and spins around swinging his sword around to attack Mei. She evades the attack and quickly evades into one of the many shadows of the night, only to just as quickly reform from another shadow behind Avella. "Tricky... this one..." The man exclaims as he turns back towards the two women.
Avella's skin slowly turns as pale as the face of the moon and a chill begins to emanate from her. She walks slowly towards the man and speaks with a dark and captivating voice, "Lower your weapon and take off you helm..."
"Nay!" Says the man. Avella hisses loudly and locks steel with him looking him in the eyes of the helm. The cross appears to glow in the dark of the night.

As the continue thier deadlock Mei stands to the side and watches for an opening. As they separate and lock weapons several times she begins to swing a bola menacingly... The man notices this and delivers a cheap blow to knock Avella off balance. He then whistles for his steed and rides off into the night as Mei's bola is tossed but misses by mere feet. He rides off into the night into the close by Moongate and vanishes.
Avella growls and sheathes her sword. "The coward ran!" Mei turns her tangerine colored eye towards her. "Perhaps we should pay a visit to Tokuno. Come, Mei."

Mei nods as Avella takes her hand and they stride towards the Moongate with determination....
