Left under a stone near his pack is a scroll with another scroll within it.

Myrddin,

I have gone out to scout a bit on our next location as I know we are going to be on the move again. I also am going to procure some beasts of burden that will be able to transport our supplies and be more resistant to the crystals.

I just wanted to leave you with what one of our scouts had found while on routine patrols. They made a graphite copy so it is a bit blurry however hopefully you can still read it. http://www.atlanticcommunityboard.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27960

It seems we won't be working with Ashencrosse to find a cure, they apparently view us now as enemies. Yet I will leave that up to your, interpretation.

Take care,
Merci

Myrddin watched the flames of the campsite's small fire slowly eat the notice away as he dangled quill over fresh parchment.

The Wolf King took great pride in his measure of self control, and his ability to ignore the words of his enemy.
The various insults he had received of late were getting tiring though, and each seemed a greater insult than the last.

After a few moments thought, he decided he needed to write two letters.
*********************************************************************

First, a response to Merci:

Merci,

My interpretation is no different than yours.

Despite being entirely open to the gypsies' suggestions and our effort to act on those suggestions with speed, it seems they've decided to spearhead the campaign against us.

In truth, I've known them to be cowards since the day they made deals with the Ebon Skull, though I foolishly believed these snakes had shed that skin. Apparently I was wrong.

We will be leaving the desert sooner than planned.

**************************************************************************

Secondly a letter to Harlequin:

Quinn,

I am hereby ordering you to report back to the campsite in the desert -immediately-.
You are to cease any further interaction with the gypsies and are forbidden from returning to Ashencrosse.

Should you fail to report back before we take leave from the desert, I will assume you've been taken captive by the gypsies and will respond to this act of aggression accordingly.

-Myrddin ab'Arawn
Wolf King of Stonegate
