Rain poured down from the skies, beating against the Castle. The night became more violent as the world around showed me its might. The night sky lit up in a brilliant display of power as lighting struck in the distance. And just as the sky showed its might, the sea was no different. As the storm gained strength, the sea sent wave after wave crashing into the rock shore. In the middle of all this, I stood on top the southeast tower of the Castle. I looked over the horizon and as far as I could see the storm commanded the sky. And just as my eyes began to look over the vast ocean, I noticed it. Something lay just off the coast, nearly impossible to see. Perhaps it was the enhanced sight or the sea itself kicking up the dirt bed of the ocean floor. A strange feeling took hold of me; unable to take my eyes from it I stood there for what seemed like hours. I could now feel the power that lay beneath.

Suddenly, I felt the urge to feed. It took all my strength to take my eyes from what lay in the ocean, for it must wait. I leapt from the Castle roof, landing with ease upon the ground. In moments I took off through the woods, moving faster, pushing myself harder than I had in a long time. It was not long before I heard voices. I did not slow my pace as I raced towards them. Five men on horseback engaged in combat against another four. I stopped as I came to a clearing where the men where, but only for a moment, then I fell upon them. Only a few minutes later, the only sound that could be heard were the faint screams over the downpour of rain. Three of the men now lay on the ground, dead. Another badly wounded attempting to crawl away. As the rest rode off in terror, I descended upon the crawling man. With a swift motion I ended his life as I fed upon him.

My senses returned slowly, my thoughts turning once against to the object in the sea. What object would affect me so? Only one thought remained. I must get this item. It must be mine.

My thoughts were often consumed by what I saw. Like a black pearl, calling to me from the sea. After my senses returned to me after that night, I knew it had to me mine. And later that week I journeyed to the walled city to hire as many day workers as I could. Additionally, I hired a small fleet of ships to this task. And tonight I see the fruit of the labor of nearly a months work. As I walked the castle walkway, I could easily see six ships off the coast. Most of the men bedded down for the night, waiting until dawn to begin again. The task was a dangerous one but the men were paid well enough.

However, there have been a number of strange deaths among the men, seven in all. And rumors began to spread that there was a curse upon the object. This rumor began as one night a few men swear they saw one of those that died. A few even fled in fear of this rumor. This only fueled my desire to take hold of this unknown object.

With the hard work of these men, they have uncovered one of the black spires, and have found many more. The spire now rests within the walls of the castle, and I have spent endless hours just staring at it. Soon the Coven shall begin to investigate this rock and whatever powers it may uncover.

The resurrection of the black spire is nearly complete. A full set of stones uncovered and brought to shore. Some lay on the beach front and others reside within the castle walls. The majority of ships now docked as the humans worked tirelessly at transporting this gigantic stones. Another 4 deaths have occurred which only heightens my curiosity. It was clear there was a connection between the stone and these deaths. Others of the Coven have gathered and looked upon this monolith. Each drawing their own theories about its potential.

One night, one of the Coven sat in front of the black spire. Their eyes fixed upon its simple yet elegant form. It was a fairly quite night with only some distant noises. Suddenly, they felt overwhelmed as if they could no longer control their body. They would later recount that it seemed as if the stone was commanding their limbs. Standing slowly and walking towards the spire, the Kindred drew a knife. Only pricking their finger they draw a droplet of Kindred blood and touch the stone.

There was a flash of light and sudden crack, as if lighting suddenly struck near by. And as fast as it came, the night became silent once more. However, with one noticeable difference, the Kindred was no longer standing in front of the spire. Some distance away, the Kindred blinked several times. Standing in complete darkness, they tried to adjust their eyes yet with no success. They were somewhere that light did not exist. Using their hands to feel around, it became obvious that they were surrounded by dirt and rock. Then, their hands rested on a familiar touch, the feeling of the spire. And in the same instant the Kindred blood once again touched the stone the same noise and flash occurred. This time however, the Kindred was once again at the Castle.

Most interesting... I shall have to inform Lord Draven at once... they utter to themselves quietly as they leave the rooftop.
