These handbills have been distributed wherever local authorities permit it.
The following announcement appears on the obverse side. A line of red text near the bottom draws the eye and indicates an important change.
Elves, Humans, Gargoyles and All Other Sapient Beings of Intellectual or Spiritual Curiosity Are Invited,
On the Date of
Thursday, the 30th of June,
To a
Convergence
Of the
Eternal Path,
To Be Administered by the Wayfarer Rosar Ashande.
All Who Come In Peace Will be Graciously Received
at
The Bramble Rose Theatre of Ashencrosse
The Convergence Will Officially Begin At the Tolling Of
Eight Hours Past Midday.
The Topic of the Evening's Discourse Will Be
"Poverty: Causes, Effects and Solutions."
On the reverse, more text describes the particulars of the event.
Take note: the location for this Convergence shall not be the Counselor's Guild of Jhelom, but the Bramble Rose Theatre of Ashencrosse. A rune to this location is available for public use at Goodman's Rune Library just outside of the northern wall of the city of Zento of the Tokuno Islands.
The topic for this Convergence shall be "Poverty" and its various causes and effects. Particular focus shall be upon the solutions to poverty, or, indeed, whether a solution is necessary at all. As always, it is requested that all maintain a calm demeanor while discussing this most sensitive subject.
Before attending, it is strongly urged that one gathers one's thoughts on the subject so as to be better prepared to offer an opinion. Questions suggested to ask oneself are:
What causes poverty? Whom does it harm? Does it provide any benefits, and to whom? If it does, should society simply accept a certain amount of poverty? Should individuals work to combat poverty? Should society encourage that work? Compel it? Are certain crimes morally excusable when committed by the impoverished? If so, should they be legally excusable? If so, does this undermine the purpose of law?
