Sweet case. I recently had a new computer all done up and went with one of the Sniper cases. Both look to be about the same effectiveness though, and who can resist blue LEDs?
We got the same hard drive, same processor.
I went with a different motherboard, but they look to be about the same. I actually like the color scheme on yours better.
I thought I was going overboard with 12GB DDR3! Hahah. You actually might even be able to utilize some of that RAM to boost up performance elsewhere if you find you aren't using it.
I think I went for the 1000W power supply, but I think anything above 700 is more than enough for what today's rigs can put out.
And then we get to the video card. The one piece that gamers typically look at first. The 500 series is -amazing-, but you'll have some trouble running older games. For instance, NWN gets 10 fps max with the 500 series, unless you do a work around. I went with the GTX 570, but the differences between the two cards are negligible.
Nevertheless, we have very very similar computers, and I've yet to find a game that brings me under 50 FPS while playing AND broadcasting at HD quality, so the video card is effectively rendering everything twice (or some such BS). I actually just finished FEAR3 (F3AR), and never went under 90 FPS on full blast while running a soft-record (records your gameplay but only saves the last 2 minutes of it when you hit a button).
You, sir, will not be disappointed at all. _________________

If only the case lights could change colors like the power supply... |

Nice build!
Now you just need an SSD in there. _________________ "There are those who dream to escape reality, and there are those who dream to change it." |

just a dvd-rw drive and a card reader
I used the tv tuner that I had in my last system and will need to buy a new sound card at some point since using a PCI one is no longer an option. |
