She walked quietly through the black stone halls, unseen, unheard. A slender hand reached out and opened the door that held her childhood. Her bed, the few toys. Her clothes. She tore all of her clothing out of the drawers, from the closets, tossing them into a neat pile by her bed. "Won't be needing these anymore." She spoke in a hushed tone. She spoke the words Vas Flam and watched her small clothing go up in flames. She smiled as she pulled out a whole new wardrobe and replaced them where her old wardrobe had been. Her aquamarine eyes scanned the dark corners of the room until she found what...or rather who she was looking for.

"Squishy, I think it's time to find mother." She smiled at the shadowy spider and headed out of her room toward the throne room. She pulled the monk's robe over her so no one could identify her. She carried herself tall and proud even though she was still smaller than her sister Kor. She was every bit as endowed as her older sister Kor'inth was, and her mother Kalik'six. Such was the blessing of being drow. The vampiric blood only enhanced the features.

Rhylcice strode into the throne room and walked down the aisle to the barrier. There she stood and waited in silence until her mother would arrive, as though she were a messenger. She went through several scenarios in her head as to what reactions would be.


Squishy dangled precariously from his web and let the small pillow drop right on the matron mother's face. He had learned to keep his distance when waking her up. He scurried up the webbing and vanished into the shadows. A knock on the matron's door followed a moment later. "Matron. Someone is here." A servant called out.
