In a land far away, yet also as close as your pillow, a lone squirrel strides purposefully down a silver path. Around his waist is fastened a swordsman's belt holding a large knitting needle, as well as several smaller needles of a more throwable size. Slung over his shoulder is a bright blue bindle with a teddy bear's head sticking out of it.

Back in Stonegate, above a now-blanketless bed, hangs a sign written in crayon: "Gone Dreamin' "

The lessons were going well considering all the unscheduled naps and wandering thoughts. A vacation was needed!
Without a word to his teacher, Josh headed out onto the silver path and eventually found himself near his old freehold. After finding no one awake there, he went for another long walk and eventually found himself standing in front of a flickering balefire surrounded by faerie rings. Why would anyone leave a balefire out in the open like that? It must be a free giveaway! Feeling very lucky and proud of himself, he put his newfound skills to use and took a bit of fire on a trip.
Back along the silver path, a happy squirrel made his way back toward Stonegate. Along the way, several chimerical beasts thought to snack on him, but a warrior rock and his trusty battle bear can overcome any obstacle! Just two weeks later a weary squirrel scurried into the meadhall and plopped down for a pie.

Waking up from such a wonderfully adventurous dream, Josh realized it was most certainly time for a break from training... and a dozen or so pies. After packing the "essentials" he headed back to Stonegate and checked on his hidden treasure before setting off for the meadhall to munch on pie and tell T'Nara all about his fire-swiping adventure, minus the part about having dreamt it.

Marshmallows, pies, and... catnip. The hidden treasure was growing, so shipments of these supplies had to come more frequently. Josh dragged a crate far bigger than he is right up to the wall, crawling into a little hole, then moving the supplies piece by piece through his miniature secret passage. Hours later, a rather happy squirrel pushed the empty crate into Stonegate's bonfire before doing a little dance.
