I wish to thank you once more for your gracious acceptance of the offer presented last eve. There exists no doubt in my mind that the right choice has been made by us both.

I realize my having ordered your slave to the whip without first seeking your counsel remains a point of contention between us that might never see resolution. Be that as it may, I would nevertheless like to commend you on his spirit, strength and stamina. He stood to the test far beyond expectation. Curious to me were his thoughts where flows constant course of lash and flame. Despite this, he remains sound . . . an impressive display of endurance.
