Slain in his sleep by a vengeful combatant, Mikhaeil rose to Heaven an archangel where he was given a magical sword and charged with the duty of protecting the astral realm from daemonic intrusion. Fearless and strong, he served his responsibility well until a cunning young female led him astray. Falling prey to the daemoness' deception, he gave in to the temptations she offered, an army of revenants slipping through the shadows while he was otherwise occupied. As punishment Mikhaeil was banished to the netherworld, his sword given into the hands of Hell's preeminent daemon, damned to spend eternity tortured into serving the very beasts he'd been sworn to destroy.
