A white wolf searches out the woman at her duties.
Lady Quinn,
It is time for you to do that which I have kept you around for. As a noted Lycan hunter, adhereing to your pledge unto the realm, I require your services into the counter methods of your very art.
Please meet with me when you have time.
Merci d'Rue _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Quinn paced the room reading the letter over twice, pausing only after she finished the second time. Her sardonic smile barely altered the expressionless painted pout.
"Inviting the wolf to help guard the fold? How sweet. Careful, Dear Merci. For you've allowed this wolf her fangs as well..." _________________ Why should the world be over-wise,

A raven-haired girl in a white porcelain harlequin's mask lifted aloft her hand, sending a pied crow into the bright afternoon sky, carrying a rolled parchment:
My Dearest Lady Oracle,
I shall find you this evening. I trust you'll have decided how best I can "earn my keep" by that time. Take care, in the interim, not to fall down a well or impale yourself upon your blade.
Fondly,
Quinn
Harlequin watched Ansel flap his way out of sight before turning and padding barefoot back into the cabin. Calmly, she sat down at her dressing table and ran her fingertips over the thin brushes and tubes of paint in a practiced and absent manner, before untying and removing the porcelain mask. She examined her pale, serious expression and dark grey eyes for a moment, before deciding to paint a visage much more cheerful for the occasion. _________________ Why should the world be over-wise,
