But seriously, how are some of you coming up with these very crisp, clear, images of people without picking them up from somewhere? Or, are you drawing them yourself, in which case I am out of luck. Would love to break into a new area of toonville if there is something new here I can learn. |

Well, just speaking for myself, I gather a number of images from the internet and manipulate and layer them using Photoshop and/or Gimp (which is free, btw). There are a number of tutorial videos on youtube that will walk you through how to do certain things.
For example, you could take that pic of Buckwheat, drop the background out of the image and replace it with something else of your choosing as a separate layer, then add a new layer and place text on that. Then when you're finished, combine the layers and save it as a gif, jpg or whatever.
The key is to keep everything on different layers, so if you screw something up, you only need to fix that single layer.
