Ari smiled grimly as she pulled the hood of her cloak tighter across her face; She rode now through a land of hard-packed gravel & shifting dunes of sand, homes and buildings of a once great city, with her Bow and her Arrows in hand she quickly pierced any winged beast or daemon she could find or of course that were stupid enough to find her.. the ever-blowing dust, and the hot, hot sun beat down from dawn to dusk, burning the land.
A red cloud of dust blew into her face, she then tightened her cowl, in an effort she knew was vain to keep it from her eyes. Just then over a small rise, she could see her destination:
The soft grass and the cool beach.. she could hear the distant hum of the citizens, and smell the freshly painted ships.

" The republic will be safe this night"
