Anger burned through her setting her very soul on fire. Contained by the smallest thread and threatening to break the limits of her control, it mounted. The darkness knew its mark. Quickly and painfully it had yanked one of the few things Olivia Rhiannon Dell VanHellseig had cared about swiftly out of her life. Her son.
"We have to do this to keep Mommy from crying." Lea had said.
So helplessly the parents had watched as little Lea took on a burden no child should have to bear. Logic told Livvie that Dell was not gone, his mind was well and safe. But emotion told her that his tiny four year old body was six feet under the snow where Ebon had buried him. Mind and heart struggled against one another in a fatal tug of war.
That was the last straw. Emotion poured forth winning out and sending her flying over the edge and into an extremely rare, extremely painful transformation.
Russet colored fur, tinged with the golden yellows and browns that cover Trinsic in the fall lay carelessly in the coat of the wolf. Pale, almost white paws padded along the Stonegate Valley before taking off in a dead run.
For the moment nothing mattered but the adrenaline, and the white hot heat that laced itself in her veins. |

Lea stared out at the white snow. She could feel Dell near to her. She bent down and picked up a handful of the snow tossing it into the air letting the tiny snow flakes, with thier intricate designs fall upon her.
Buried deep in the snow,
His body lies, only daddy knows,
Buried deep in our hearts,
Pain and sadness we do depart,
Wolves are guarding his little shell,
Mommies tears like rain they fell....
Part of me and part of you,
He and Me, one with two..
Over and over she sang the song, her little voice sweet and strong, and soon from echoes of the past, he ran with her strong and fast... |
