Her strokes on the canvas were gentle and detailed. A portrait of some seemingly far away pink-haired little girl. The face was strong set and full of innocence. Full pouty lips. Intense eyes, knowing eyes, and a perk little nose....

Ditto's thoughts were on her childhood some 170 years ago on Sorceror's Isle. Always reading, singing, dancing, exploring .... always learning. She had a fascination with different philosophies, languages, cultures, and all artforms. Her curiosity never lessed through all the years growing up, and she had found delight in the ironies and contradictions of life, proving time and again how anything was possible and nothing set in stone...for even stone breaks.
Her mind shifted focus back to the present, and she began thinking of the many events that had transpired in just a few short days. Her capture by the Ebon Skull, a tale of Aya's capture into the Army of Azeroth, meeting new guild members, the stolen kiss, the destruction of the Garden, and it's rebirth, and Mave....her trusted friend and protector....the second person in just two days that felt she betrayed them. Aya's feelings were understandable, afterall, she had no idea what Ditto was planning, but Mave..his reasonings were harder for her to understand. She had gone against, rebelled against his orders before. She had attempted threats of blackmail before. So why was this time so very different? And why did it seem as though he wanted to change her chaotic ways? She could never do that. It was part of her. She didn't hold him to her beliefs, so why did he try to hold her to his? She could not change what or who she was, as he could not change himself. Their friendship had always been give and take when they crossed, but this time....:Ditto dropped her eyes from the painting a moment. Mave was a man of great honor and pride, and she was a woman of strong will and compassion. THAT was the problem...and it was a big problem in this case. Mave was now, no longer speaking with her, and in some cases, making a point to ignore her. She must have hurt him terribly He no longer loved his friend, nor even would see her as such. To him, she no longer existed. But, for her, he would always be her friend..her family, and because of this, there was only one thing Ditto could think of to do....respect his wishes.

Going back to happier thoughts, Ditto studied the portrait with a sad, tender smile, and spoke out loud to the image. "Soon..".
