Knights, Squires, Peasants, and Nobles. Farmers, Bakers, Shepherds, and Butchers. Swordsmen, Shield-maidens, Priests, and Mages.
Would you like to be a part of something bigger than yourself? Can you foster loyalty and pride side by side with another who shares the same drive?
Jhelom has long been known to generate heroes of the fighting variety; the city is the very embodiment of the virtue of Valor. From this city came the loose association known as the Jhelom Fighter's Guild which guarded the city, trained warriors and went out into the realm selling their sword arms as mercenaries.
From this loose association of profit seeking mercenaries arose a group called the Knights of the Crux Ansata who wanted to be more. Not just mercenaries and Valorous Heroes, but examples of the perfection of spirit over temptation and vice, with the Virtues of Honesty, Compassion, Valor, Justice, Sacrifice, Honor, Spirituality, and Humility as their personal guide.
When the great volcano appeared on Fire Isle, and the Underworld opened itself to Britannia it was the Knights of the Crux Ansata who volunteered to first enter and explore, and perchance to live and flourish within the deeps known as the Stygian Abyss.
Within the Stygian Abyss the prejudices that commonly plague rough human warriors have broken down, tempered by both need and by virtue. The Knights have rejected all intolerant views of Elves, Gargoyles and any other sentient race that shows themselves to be more friend than foe. Gone are the resistances to magic and sorcery, in order to survive they have gathered closely any and all who seek themselves kind and generous knights of both sword and magic who are guides by The Virtues.
Within the Stygian Abyss the Knights have discovered many powerful artifacts and ancient devices buried deep within the passages between Britannia and Ter Mur. This has served to make them exceedingly powerful and rich not only in material wealth but in knowledge and in spirit.
Honesty, Compassion, Valor, Justice, Sacrifice, Honor, Spirituality, and Humility. It is by these virtues alone that we have survived and grown as an organization, and it is by these virtues alone they have toiled against the darkness.
Recently our Order was betrayed by a friend, they took many lives in order to silence the Knights of the Crux Ansata. But they could not destroy our root, our anchor to the world.
We believe what you believe, we know what you know, we love what you love. The Virtues of Britannia are not some simple creed or hokey religion. The Three Principles are how we live our lives, it is how we better our lands, they are what continues to abate the darkness that surrounds us.
Should you wish to inquire, our ranks are open for new recruits. Leave behind your titles and your lands, forget your wealth and your riches. For we are all the same, we are all equal, you enter the Order as such.
Meet at our Headquarters in Jhelom, Tuesday October 19th, 2010 @ 6pm EST.
~Signed,
Danica Amandine, Knight Lieutenant, Knights of the Crux Ansata
Note: This is a heavy RP Event.

The EM called me a critical thinker.
I wonder what would have happened if I actually convinced enough people to stop attacking the Golden Hart. _________________ www.uoguide.com - UO's encyclopedia |
