Time passing was something you couldn't escape. And for Pay the weeks that had turned into months without her Brother and her Nephew, had taken their toll. His house hadn't changed. Tthe Gypsy camp in Compassion hadn't changed. But somehow things were never going to be as they once were.

Cold and still she had made sure Arahim's home was ready for winter. Fall was already in full swing and it wouldn't be long until the first snow was falling. For better or worse she was going to attempt to bring them home.

The ride out to Compassion was easy now. She'd been doing it for some time and the motions were a welcome sting to her muscles. It kept her in shape and battle ready. Her thighs dug into the mount and she set off at a slow trot.

Right before he had left, they had fallen into an easy pattern of compatibility. Neither really had to guess the other's next move. It was just sort of there. So it was no surprise that Arahim was dismounting Glowian just as she sauntered into camp.

"So much for solitude," he sighed.

She slide down from the ethereal and pulled off her gloves. Striding towards him the fears she once had about showing emotion subsided and she wrapped him tightly in a hug. "How are you old man?"

He looked like he was unsure of himself. As if his guiding star had somehow dimmed too dark for him to steer by on the sea of life. She watched as the waves crashed in on him. He was drowning and the best she could do now was hold out a hand and pray he held on. She's spent so much time without him. So many years with an emptiness she couldn't gauge. Having Arahim in her life filled that slot.

Please, Please come home now. For Christopher.. and for me... The words were unspoken but radiated from her core.
