Time seemed to stand still as the trumpet sounded, alerting Stonegate of the approaching enemy forces. Ebon looked to his wife with pride as she stood tall on horseback. "Are you ready?"
She looked down to him and gave a smile and nod to him, carefully covering up any fear she might have.
As the first of enemy forces ascended the valley, he raised his hands to cast his magic upon the invaders, and then,... within a blink of an eye, he stood bloodied and beaten outside of Luna. "What strange magic is this?" he murmured, his left arm not making the trip.
A shop keeper hurried to his side. "Sir, are you well? You do not look well. Bandages, five gold pieces for a dozen!"
"Never mind that. Please, go to Stonegate Valley and fetch my wife quickly!"
"500 gold sir."
With his right hand he reached into his bag and paid the merchant. "Now, go quickly!"
Within a short matter of time, Livvie apeared before him with a mount. With help from her, he saddled the horse and clutched the main to prevent him slipping off. "You look pale Love." she wispered.
"I'm fine. Find my arm, it must be reatached. How did you fare?"
"I'm fine" she replied. "I'll get you back to the valley."
He awoke the next morning, his arm re-attached. "I'll sever my enemy as he has severed my arm!" he yelled.
"You'll rest and let your arm heal!" Livvie sternley replied, skillet in hand.
There was no argument as he fell asleep. His wife would watch over him as he rested. |

Livvie sat silent and waiting in a plush red velvet chair beside the bed. With her long sunrise colored hair damp from sweat and clinging to her skull. Her husband's even breathing a focal point on which she concentrated. The past week had be strenuous as best. Between the Oracles injuries, the disarray of the GuildHall and the talks of war. And all of this was before she took into consideration the growing responsibilities within.
Her eyes darted over Ebon's sleeping form and the arm that had been meticulously restitched. The skin was growing over now, but it was slow. There were certain aspects of his condition she was grateful for, this was one of them. Quietly she leaned her head back against the chair and drifted off into an exhausted slumber. |

Outside their home a White Wolf waited patiently with a basket from Merci.
Inside the basket were three items.
A crystal charm with wolf on it, the item glowing softly with energy.
A specially wrapped peice of meat that was cured and made just for Livvie.
A note which read:
Livvie,
I know you must be exhausted, between helping me and fighting in the battle.
I hope these items help. The charm should help with energy.
The meat should help with renewal.
If you have any issues, need any help or feel unwell. Notify me immediately and I will be at your side.
Your sister in all-
