[Korin d'Rue]

Korin looked to his left and right. On both sides stood warriors of stonegate, all ready for battle. Korin leaned over in his saddle, "This is the worst part, the waiting." he said to Langois.

It was not a long wait, from down in the valley below came the sound of heavy footsteps of a vast approaching army. Korin moved his mount forward to the edge of the pass. He had personnaly help with the barricade that would slow them down.
Korins eyes grew wide as the first of many dragons started up the pass. When the first rider came with in range Korin threw his bottle of liquid fire. The rider and beast where engulfed in flames. Out of the flames arrows started wizzing past Korin one grazing the side of his helm. Korin turned his mount to rejoin with his fellow Gaurdians.

Chaos was the best way Korin could describe the battle that insued. First together the Guardians of Stonegate met the charge of the invaders. But as friend and foe became entertwined. The groups got spread out and where once you had friends at your side you now found enemies.

The sound of battle rang out every where. Blade on blade, exsplosions, The sound of magic spells flying thourgh the air. Korin found himself engaged with three enemy riders and a creature. Then it was five, then six. Every way Korin turned there was someone out for his blood. With those odds it was only a matter of time. And atlast they brought him down.

Korin made his way to the rally point. just in time to watch the man he hated most in the world right now walk out of his jail ceil. He watched as he was embraced and wonderd did they really know what he had done.

Korins mother lay in a bed clinging to life because of this man. Korin fought back the words on his lips as this man made to depart Stonegate Valley. Kaylor had warned Korin of the emptiness of revenge. But this was one time Korin would not listen.
Under his breath Korin spoke. "Watch your back, You attacked a d'Rue and did not finish them off. you do not know what you have started."
