Coils and Scales.
They filled his minds eye, as snow crunched beneath his ice snake scale boots. How much snow had fallen since his arrival, how many nights has he stood guard over the land while those of the Kingdom slept? His head felt heavy as he shook it, heavy with horns, and crests, heavy with What Was. Sun reddened the snow at his feet as he paced along trying to make up his mind. Could he have changed fate? If he did not go as far as he did in his tracking the two strangers, could he have protected the Oracle from the explosion? Would it had mattered if he were present when the explosive happened?

Time was short, and nothing compared to the way he felt now. There were days, since his arrival in Stonegate, when the mammalian heat of his human body felt wrong. He dreamed of the deep dungeon caverns, the dwelling and living in the depths of the sosarian soil - at the same time escaping into the star lit nights and chasing the abyss until dawn. The Dark Elven blade he had rescued from the caverns, beneath the city of what the drow girl calld Buc's, gave a soft glow its imbued magic swirling with agitation.

Back then, the Dragon within had called to him, and since his seeking sanctuary on Stonegate grounds, his being here had done more to him than any could dream to understand. The Dragon had directed him out of Trammel, guided him through Luna and protected him across the Glens, half dazed as though he had traveled in a dream. In the Malas night he had shaken awake and realized that he had taken flight in his sleep, only to awaken in the mountain range near the kingdom of Stonegate. This was months ago, now, the remembering of the quest was more than a flood of unwanted memories.

Now he stood atop the courthouse, Those golden reptilian orbs within his human expression watched the land with a cold logic. The midnight blue robes flowing about his body as the winter chill swirled around him with life. He could not have dreamed of the nights outcome, the discourse of misplaced trust. The now cold draconic blood flowed like ice through his veins, He was ready for the war, ready for the fight. He wanted to feel the blood of those that harmed the one woman he could call friend. Bathe in the anguish of the one that dared violate the sanctity of his home land.

standing along side his brothers in the sword, all would soon come to realize what happens when they bring a fight they can not win. All will soon realize the hunger that boiled the cold blood within.. soon they will know who he was.

He is the Dragon, A Guardian of Stonegate.
