Gone? Eclyse was crestfallen as she read the letter, her hand beginning to tremble. My baby angel goneā¦
Eclyse pulled a frayed scrap of paper from her pocket. One that she had hoped to ask Sir Kaylor about when the time was right. She read the words softly to herself, then exhaled slowly. Her hand involuntarily crumpled the slip as her eyes closed. She lowered her head as her body was wracked with silent tears and breathless sobs for a tiny life, ushered into the heavens far, far too soon. |
