Wondering where Maverick has been Davis's brother. Wynn decided it was time to find out. Sitting at the kitchen table she begins to write.

My Dear friend Davis,

After your return I have wondered where your brother Maverick may be. Could you please assure me he is in good health. Can you please update me on his whereabouts?

Thank you kindly,

Wynn

Ties the parchment to her Loyal Doves leg and shoos him out the window." Fly and come back when you get a response."

Davis pulls the piece of parchment from the Dove and begins to read the letter from Wynn.

After serious thought and consideration on what to write to explain to Wynn, Davis picks up his Feathered Quill and begins to write:

Wynn,

It is nice that you are thinking of my brother and such but if you may not already know, I have lost contact from Maverick and have no idea where he might be at such time. I do wonder about him on occasion, but unfortunately it is because of me that he is not here. The last that I knew he went to a far deserted land. What he would want with that is beyond me but, I can assure you that if he is alive and safe, which he may be, I am sure that he is well taken care of. Maverick has learned to live off the land and be able to provide for himself when it comes to surviving. I do hope myself that he is safe but I always want him to keep his distance from me as well.

Signed,
Lord Davis
Lord of Aurora Fraternitas

Davis rolls up his parchment, and ponders on how he is going to get this letter to Wynn. He begins to walk the road just outside his house to find that Wynn's wolf is out strolling about. Davis calls for the wolf. As the wolf approaches, Davis tucks the letter under the Wolf's collar and sends the wolf on his way.

Noticing her wolf walking down the dirt path with something in his mouth she disregards what it was. Knowing he catches prey all the time she thought it was something he was bringing her as a gift again. The wolf slowly walks up to her and she then takes note that it was a parchment. " Here boy let me have that." she says as she reaches down to take it from his mouth. " Where did you get that from?" she quickly opens the letter and notices it was a reply back from Davis. For a brief second she begins to wonder what happen to her dove. Then the thought quickly left her mind as she looks to the letter in her hand. She begins to read . After reading the words that had been written by Davis. This made her even more puzzled by the two brothers actions. "They were so close my goodness what has happen?"

Later that night she thinks about the note from Davis. I Must find out what happen.

Dear Davis,

I received your letter from my wolf. I have many questions as to what happen between you and your brother. At one time you was inseparable. I Cant imagine that you have no idea where he has gone off too. Do you think that we may need to search for him? Is there anyone that knows anything. You do know there is a friend of mine that has just returned from many months of traveling maybe she can be of some assistance? I shall send word to her that we may need to talk to her. I as well hope your brother is in good health and not ill somewhere.

Sincerely,

Lady Wynn

She sends her wolf back on his way again to Davis

Davis opens the letter he finds on Wynn's wolf and begins to read it as he is startled by what she has wrote about sending a search party. Davis picks up his quill and begins to write:

My Dear Wynn,

It is useless to send a search party for my brother, unless you feel it will help in finding him. I am quite sure that if my brother were about reguardless of the past between us, he would still somehow let me know he is okay. Which I guess is why I worry so much about him. Too much time has gone by and have not heard word from him. I know at one time we were inseperable, but after the wars in Luna and such, I have no idea what happened to him. He never came home from the wars. Once again, if you feel it necessary to send out the search party then feel free but I feel as if you are sending them out to look for someone that they will probably never find. I pray the best happens in the future and hope that things will return to what they once were.

Signed,
Lord Davis
Aurora Fraternitas

Davis folds up the letter and places it under the wolf's collar and sends the wolf on his way back to Wynn.

Davis feeling as if his brother may be dead at this point in time due to unforseen circumstances, wonders why Wynn would go through the trouble of sending out a search party. *Davis thinks to himself* : if he is dead then please let him rest in peace, do not let them drag his carcassed body back here. Davis wonders in his mind as to who this friend of hers that she speaks of that has been on many travels and how this friend could be of assistance in finding his brother.

The Black Swan stood in the center of her small home, bits of flotsum and jetsum rested in the corners of the roof, and an occasional bit of straw or seaweed hung from the beams overhead. The graceful birds nested near Slowly Creek which ran slowly to the ocean, a short rock's throw from the entrance of the home of The Black Swan. Permanently open dormer windows allowed free flow of the black swans as needed for shelter.

The door stood ajar, and the windows had been casually opened to allow the crisp air of fall free entry to the main room, hoping it would clear the unwelcome staleness that resulted from, this home having been closed for months.

She removed a heavily-embroidered bedspread from a cupboard and draped it over the table. The tablecloth (nee bedspread) lay there, a bit askew. Being too large for the table, the edges trailed a few inches across the worn wooden floor, creating a pleasing contrast of elegant formality and comfort.

Her dear friend, Lady Wynn, was coming to Afternoon Tea. Having dressed the table, The Black swan laid small mounds of soft cheeses, a fish paste, fresh bread and sliced cucumbers on a platter, and clotted cream and seasoned butter were neatly assembled on beautiful but mismatched (and sometimes chipped) china atop the table. Water simmered quietly in a teakettle ready for brewing the tea.

A gauze-wrapped package rested near the place where The Lady Wynn would be seated. It was difficult at times to refrain from being intimidated by the great wealth of the lady's family. For a brief moment, her own humble dwelling appeared shabby in comparison. But only for a brief moment.

What wonders she had to tell Lady Wynn, and debated whether to first speak of her adventures, or the one named Maverick, who claimed to be the brother of their friend, Davis.

A small bird with black feathers circled the Fortress, landing quietly on the doorstoop. Dropping a parchment tied in Black Ribbon with a long black feather attached, the bird rapped on a nearby window, then sat on the doorstoop, waiting for a return message.

My dearest friend, Lady Wynn,

Would it be convenient for you to come to my home for Afternoon Tea today? I may have news for our friend, Davis, who is welcome to accompany you if it seems suitable.

The black bird on your doorstoop awaits your response.

Walking out the door to see what all the commotion was in the hen house she almost trips after trying to avoid a black spot by her door. "What a way to start the morning." she mumbles to her self "and my tea " a couple of drops of tea had ran down the white skirt she had just put on to see her patients in. Looking back at what made her stumble she sees it is a black bird with a note attached to it. Reading the note she sticks it in her pocket for later. After she finds out what is going on in the hen house. Opening the gate she is almost knocked down by her wolf running after a chicken. "what else this morning. Everything just seems crazy." Calling the wolf over to her and grabbing his collar she notices a note fall out onto the ground. "hmm you been out traveling again? Well let me tell you this wolf you stay out of my hen house or I will tie you to a tree next time and you wont be out and about." Locking the gate behind her and slowly walking into the house she reads the note from Davis.

Laying the letters on her desk just inside the door she changes into fresh clothes and heads on her way to check on all her sick patients.

After a long day she returns home lays her bonnet and medicine bag on the desk she remembers of the letters from this morning. "Well I will get some tea and sit and write a reply." Sitting with her tea beside her she begins to write.

Dear Davis,

I Am not sure of the hesitance you seem to have. Why would you not want someone to look for him? Or am I just reading it wrong. IF it was my brother and we was as close as the two of you I would travel the world for as long as it took to find him. I am meeting with my friend Black swan to discuss any matters of her helping us find him. If you don’t want to search for him then I will do it on my own. I Am afraid something bad has happened if you have not even heard from him. If you want to help please send word of when we shall all meet together.

Sincerely,

Wynn

My Deariest friend,

I would love to meet you for tea. I have sent word to my friend Davis to see if and when he can meet you and I as well so we can discuss the matters at hand. If he feels he doesn’t want to pursue the search I will be forced to do this on my own.

I cant wait to see you again,

Wynn

She sends Davis letter off by her wolf. "Now stay out of places you shouldn’t be." and then the back bird off with the letter to Black Swan
