“You're breathing on me.” Staring straight ahead into the pass she stood stock still. He was less than two inches from her. Rolling her shoulders back she let out a huff.

Grinning to himself, Chad stood, shoulders hunched unmoving. Well aware of her lack of comfort he wasn't going to do a thing about it. “I'm conserving air. Call it a gift to Mother Nature.”

Rolling her eyes, Paytience started forward again, the leather of her boots padding softly across the dirt road. Catching a sound in the distance she made a small flick of her fingers, signaling to Chad to split up and take the opposite side of the road.

Crouching down within the brush, Paytience looked back to find Chad still standing in the middle of the road a smile spread on his face from ear to ear.

Her voice a hushed whisper of in-credulousness she stared at him in disbelief. “What -are- you doing?”

He glanced toward her with a crooked smile lighting up his face. “I'm Orc hunting, what does it look like I'm doing?”

“Goddammit Chad, The whole point of hunting is not to be seen! The whole damn army of Britain could see you and your boobs from here. Get down!”

“Let them get a look of the good life! They need to see perfection before they die.” Pay hung her head silently wondering what the hell she had gotten herself into.

That moment was quickly snatched away as verification of the sound she had heard was a set of orc scouts coming round the bend. Shield now firmly attached to her arm and Kryss is hand she darted out of the brush. Thrusting and Parrying she shifted the weight on the balls of her feet and sent the blade searing through the scout effectively slicing him in two. Spinning round to backhand the second scout she misjudged the distance.

A flick of his hand and flash of light later, Chad stood over her the spot Paytience had landed on the ground with his hands on his hips. “That is totally the way to beat the Orcs. On your arse. Is there like a class for that or can anyone do it?”

"DUCK!"

The word was thrown quickly and in just a split second later Paytience' Kryss went flying over Chad's head, lodging in the groin of an Orc Bomber.

Chad's sunkissed face paled visibly as he saw where X marked the spot. Involuntarily he put a hand over that same spot on his own body and winced. "That's just not right, Lass. That is a gift no matter the creature."

Pay rolled her eyes and contemplated what Cezanne had said about 2 or 3 wenches on the roof at one time. "No worries Chad, I won't ever hit you there. Cezanne would kill me if I ever injured your brains that way." Turning away to hide both her blush and her laughter she caught movement out of the corner of her eye and leapfrogged her companion grabbing and twisting her Kyrss free of the corpse. Shoving it into the next piece of Orc flesh that came near she wrenched it to the side and began to slice and whisk through the newest wave.

One after another they were coming now. Droves of them at once, as Orc's are prone to do when ticked off. Taking a split second to look back she saw Chad laughing loudly as he fired off spells mixing them with his inate peacemaking skills. Some of them grew sleepy, and those that she could identify as such, she dispensed with.

Closing her eyes for just a moment, Paytience took a deep breath and concentrated. She felt it rise then, similar to what had been in that circle between her and Cezanne, but with an added chill and not as comforting. With a free hand of her own she called up Nature's Fury as Arahim had taught her and watched as the bees scattered and mixed among the horde inflicting damage in their wake.

"Sleeping on the job again, Lass?" Chad's voice caught her then breaking her concentration. "And I haven't yet -begun- to tire you out..." The grin spread on his face and Paytience groaned walking over and jumping up to tap the back of his head with her hand.
