Korin awoke suddenly, his heart was pounding against the ice walls that imprisioned it, His lungs were screaming for air and his head felt as if it was going to exsplode. He held his eyes tightly shut and reached up to rub his forehead with his right hand. His left arm seemed to be pinned undersomething.

Korin openned his eyes and found himself staring at a wooden ceiling. turning his head to the right he saw he was in a small room with a table and two chairs, set off in one corner and a small fire place that was empty. The table and floor were covered in empty bottles of wine and assorted different liqours. Korin closed his eyes again and images of the dream that had awoken him flashed in his mind.

Korin jumped, as the bed moved and a small hand eased its way across his bare chest. then he felt someone's body pressed against his. Becoming almost immediately aware that this was a female body and that she was naked, Korin took note of his own state of undress.
"Good morning My love." came a soft voice muffled buy a tuff of blonde hair that covered a face.
Korin looked down as far as he could his chin resting on his chest. He could see the top of a head with massive tangles of blonde hair. A very fair skinned arm draped over his chest. His skin burned at the places where her body contacted his. and when her lips found his skin on his chest, they sent blolts of lighting thur his body.

Korin could not stand it any longer, and none to gently he freed himself from her arm and leg that she had draped over his leg. Pulling his left arm free from under her he sat up abruptly. The room began to spin and korin fell off the bed landing on his hands and knees on the wooden planks of the floor.

A small laugh came from behind him. "I have never had one so eager to get into my bed, be in that big of a hurry to get out." came the small voice again.
Still on his knees korin asked "Where am I?"
Pulling the covers up around her the woman sat up in the bed before looking at Korin with a puzzled look on her face. "My love you are the same place you have been for the last three weeks."
"And where is that?" Korin spat out as he tried to clear his spinning head.
Climbing out of the bed and kneeling beside Korin she placed her arm around his back, with a chiper smile on her face. "With Me of course?"
Korin lost his temper "No you daft wench, what town or city am I in?"
"Daft Wench!" she screamed, then ran her finger nails down his back like claws. Leaving two long streaks of four marks on his back.
Korin flinched and made to swipe the woman away from him but she was already back on the bed, crawling for the other side. By the time korin got to his feet she was already on the floor pulling on a dress over her head. Korin sat on the side of the bed and put his face in his hands. With a little huff the woman walked around the bed to the table and took a few coins out of a bag then made her way to the door. "I will be back with your breakfast." She slammed the door as she exited the room.
Korin lay back on the bed and put his hands over his eyes, He must have dosed off because he didnt hear her come back in. He jumped when he heard a soft voice whisper in his ear, "Kory My love time for breakfast."
Openning his eye he peered at her she was sitting cross legged on the bed with a mug in her hand, smiling down at him.
"What is in the mug?" Korin asked reaching out for it.
With a smile she answered. "Its what you always have for breakfast, Two shots of whiskey and ale."
Korin sat up and looked into the mug then held it up to his nose. Shaking his head he set the mug down on the floor. "Not this morning."
"But Kory, You always have this for breakfast." she said with a smile. "It helps you with your hang over and gets you started for the next day."
With shock regiestring on his face Korin just stared at her.

Korin sat on the bed looking at this woman, He couldn't even remember her name.
"What is wrong Kory?" her soft voice sounded as she stared back at him.
"Korin, my name is Korin." He snapped cutting his eyes at her. "Please stop calling me that, its very annonying."
She stood up and picked up the mug off the floor, she placed the mug on the table and took a seat with her back towards him. She took two gold coins out of the pouch on the table and began to roll them between her fingers. It was a few minutes before the silence was broken and it was her that broke it. "So Kory, I mean Korin if that is what you want to be called." She turned in the chair resting her arm on its back and her chin on her forearm. "Although you didnt mind Kory before." she gave a little smile. "What are we going to do today My love?"

Korin stood and looked around the room, searching for his clothes. Finding a pair of pants he stepped into them then turned to face her. "I am going home."
The young womans eyes lite up "Really, I can't wait to meet your mother and all the others. I really want to meet this Ciara person."
Korin's head spun around so fast that he almost lost his balance. "How do you know that name?"
The woman stood up "I know alot about you, You talk alot when you are drunk." She stepped closer to him. "I know all about her breaking your heart."
Korin turned his face from her and sat on the bed and pulled on a pair of boots. "You don't know nothing of me."
The woman stepped back and looked down at him, She stuck out her chest and leaned to one side and her face took on the look of someone who had, had way to much to drink. She began in a low deep voice "I am Korin d'Rue Stone Cold Bastard of Stonegate, where the men are men and the women can take most men. Stonegate where even the cook knocked out a dragon with her frying pan!" She stopped and looked at him with a slight smile on her face. "Every night in every tavern we go to I hear this same speech and every night you end up getting into a fight because your loud and abnoxious." Her smile faded, Then I bring you back here so drunk you can hardly stand and I put you to bed." she knelt down on the floor in front of him placed her hands on his knee's. "Then I listen to you as you toss and turn about how this Ciara ripped out your heart and threw it away." She looked up at him, "I have done this for three weeks now every night the same thing." She smile a sweet little smile "dont get me wrong we have had our share of fun nights as well." "And I am not going to lie I don't mind spending your gold or what gold you had." She glanced back over at the table "Cause My Love it almost gone now."

Korin glanced at the pouch on the table. Then back to the woman who was on her knee's before him. For the life of him he could not remember her name, try as hard as he could it just would not come to him. Staring into her eyes he could see that what she was telling him was the truth but nothing of it was in his memories. He tried three times to ask the question but each not wanting to hurt this woman so remaining silent. finally he just blurted it out. "What is your name?"

Pain then anger flashed across her face followed by and emotion that Korin did not even fully understand. She shot to her feet so fast that Korin flinched back as if he exspected to be attacked. She did raise her hand as if going to slap him but thought better of it. With out a word she walked over to the table snatched up the two gold coins, Placing them in the top of her dress. She moved fast around the room gathering her things and with out even a look back bolted out the door.

Korin sat for a few moments before finishing getting dressed. Looking around the room at its shabbled state he left the pouch and its few remaining coins to who ever had to clean the place and walked out. The only thing on his mind was getting back to stonegate and his home.
