Quote: | Once upon a midnight dreary |
Lisette. She didnt speak the name just a simple thought really.
Quote: | Thrilled me---filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before |
So you have come at last, my Childe. Was the response from deep within.
I am not your childe...
Your blood is mine..You carry the mark of traitor Ravnos, you carry me.. I sing within now let me free.
The path was twisted she walked entranced, she had no choice this hold was strong the bond still formed after all these years. I can not deny my heritage, generations of Vails born and gone. It falls to her. She stumbles upon the road, how odd, that she should falter. Beckoning hands dark and wild call to her.
The crypt where she is hidden. Black as night, the air thick with mystery and the aroma of death pungent. She lay sleeping.
Quote: | Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing |
Give me back what is mine Childe...
She opens the elaborate tomb, the carvings smooth and cool to the touch. There perfectly pristine she lay. Her green hair flowing across her pale chest. Her eyes opening slowly as tiny bits of shadows cover her face and she looks up into her deep green eyes.
Silver eyes peer back at her the pupils dialating. Hunger pulses thru the air. Hungry, insistent, craving darkly. Wrapping her long arms around her she pulled her Kin thusly into a close grip, supporting her body against her own and leaning her head back. It had been so long since the sting of fangs upon her neck. The mark on her arm burned hotly as if in protest to what was about to unfold.
It is my blood to take.
Quote: | Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before; |
Do not enthrall me..
She fed of her, drinking her blood the teeth peircing her pale neck. In the background a wisp flitted watching..at the ready.
She is ours.
Not yet.. Nightshade fell to the ground now and Lisette climbed from her arms. Lightly touching her green hair.
Quote: | But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token |
Hours later, she awoke, the creature gone and she lay alone on the floor, her arm burning and hurting terrible she pulled herself up against the tomb. Her head was spinning and she stumbled forward falling into the dirt.
Her voice cracking, the air charged with remorse. What have I done..
Quote: | Caught from some unhappy master, whom unmerciful disaster
Followed fast and followed faster, till his songs one burden bore,---
Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore
Of "Never---nevermore." |
The Mocking bird took wing..
