Just revealed today. Dunno about you other DA fans, but I am super excited. It comes out Feb 1, 2011.

Hmm, I guess. I really enjoyed Origins, but Awakening ruined it for me. Seems like the original plot went incredibly dumb in the name of milking more money out of the franchise before DA2 came out. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Mass Effect 2, which was vastly more enjoyable and has some replay value. That is saying something considering it is a game from the same company when both were in development at the same time, IMO. |

I ignored Awakening for the most part. Glad I did from what I hear. Gonna continue on with DA2. _________________

Yeah I never got Awakening, but I may give it a shot anyway.
And yes, Mass Effect 2 still remains my favorite out of all of Bioware's awesome goodness, but I'm thinking Bioware is going to infuse DA2 with a lot of the elements that made ME2 so successful. Right now, out of the few details we've got about DA2, I think the news about better graphics is the best thing so far, heh. Not that DA:O was ugly but uhh... compared to ME2 (and even ME1), it makes me a little sad. |

Good plan. I heard that DLC that lets you play as darkspawn or whatever was terrible, too. |

Awesome. Awesome to the max.
And Awakening sucked chocolate salty balls. |

Hmm maybe I won't bother checking out Awakening at all then, heh. It got decent reviews, but everyone else seems to be saying it sucks. And I never tried out the Darkspawn DLC... or Return to Ostagar. In fact, the only ones I've really done are the Stone Prisoner with Shale, and Warden's Keep, which were both good but I got them for free so I can't complain.
However, I heard the latest DLC, Leliana's Song, is really good, so I'll probably check that out, as long as I don't have to hear about her shoe shopping adventures again. |

Oh, and some new details. Looks like you'll be playing as someone named Hawke... so I guess origin stories and character creation are out of the question, at least to the extent they were in DA:O? Kind of disappointing... but I have faith in Bioware. This is beginning to sound a little more like Mass Effect in a medieval sort of setting, so I kinda like the sound of that. |

Return to Ostagar was good.
Just don't download a giant custom modpack. Trust me. _________________

I wasn't a big fan of Return to Ostagar. It felt so tacked on, what with Alastair saying "I just wish I had a memento of Duncan's" when he had Duncan's sword strapped to his back.
Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep were developed at the same time as the game, I'd guess, so they seem a bit more quality. Shale was an amusing character and the Keep at least provided absolutely terrific items along with some decent plot.
Haven't played Leliana's Song, so I can't comment. I've uninstalled it for now.
In related news, the Kestrel armor in ME2 is piecemeal, so you don't have to wear the ugly helmet. Overlord and Firewalker were both worth the playthrough for sure. |

You know Bioware's a good company when people don't argue about whether their games are awesome or not but the varying degrees of awesomeness that their games show when compared to one another. |

You can't forget that they gave us the ever great Knights of the Old Republic. And Awakening isn't that bad, maybe not worth buying but definitely worth a long rent. And return to Ostagar wasn't that corny. |

Ah, KOTOR was amazing indeed. I hope The Old Republic will be good... I just hate how god-awful the game looks graphics-wise, it looks so outdated. Hopefully the end product will be easier on the eyes. But once again, it's Bioware, and they always deliver. |
