Greetings General,

I've received some recent intel on a military outfit operating in the Lost Lands calling themselves the Bane Chosen. From what I gather, they're targeting the Ophidians in open warfare. I don't know what their motives are at this point, but I hear tell they are recruiting for their cause.

I'm in no way suggesting the Empire choose sides in the conflict, but I understand the Bane have deep pockets and are willing to pay handsomely. As my pockets grow shallower by the week, I'm requesting permission to take advantage of their largesse and offer them my services, as well as any other soldiers of Blackmarsh willing to join me in the venture.

I await your response before beginning any organized effort. Until then, I'll limit myself to the role of observer and independent contractor only.

Corporal Morgrim,

As always, I have full faith in your decisions. Should you decide to help the Ophidians or the Bane Chosen is fine with me. The Ophidians are a plague on this world, and so are the Bane Chosen. My advice is to train the pockets of the Bane Chosen for what you can, and then change sides and drain the pockets of the Ophidians.

Whatever it is you choose to do, do it well. You have the military behind you.
