Ancyous took up the quill with a mischievous grin. "You're a disgrace to men across all worlds and time," he chided glancing to Kaylor who lay in his bed, eyes closed. "Falling to a woman like a squire on his first day in the lists!"

"Just shut it and write," the wounded knight retorted, opening his eyes and looking across the room where his brother sat with parchment across his lap, quill in hand. "Save your barbs lest you rue the day I am once again able to wield my axe!"

"Terror grips me, oh one armed warrior. I beg you speak with haste. Dictate your message before I am overtaken by fear and no longer able to scribe!"

"Idiot!" Kaylor laughed. "Very well . . . . . "

Oracle,

I wish to express my most humble gratitude for your ministrations following our duel of last eve. As well, I do sincerely apologize for this knight's clumsiness in his attempt to retrieve the weapon so skillfully dispatched from his grasp, thus leaving himself open to a well deserved rending of flesh. You are a most excellent warrior and, indeed, it was an honour to have been granted the priviledge of our laying arms.

I trust the blood debt is now paid in full, MiLady. 'Twas a night of memories time will never erase.

Ever at your service,

K

A white wolf bares a response..

Zealot,

As you were so aptly titled. You are a guardian, I am one that sticks to my duties, the stone binds us all but my family demanded recompense. The Family d'Rue accepts your payment of your debt as was so nobly and honoroubly done. Now we shall progress on from this moment of pain in both our familes and forward into the future and the bigger world that lays before us. Fighting amongst ourselves is for those of lesser stature.

When your arm heals we shall meet again upon the arena of dueling and begin this dance anew, for I promised. You are an excellent warrior, and a great boon to our kingdom. Every weapon must be handled with care, hence my minsitrations so it is used with efficacy against our enemies.

Merci d'Rue
Oracle,

P.S.-I hope when dawn arises, and the cold battles heroically to fight off the invading warmth, your wound speeds on to recovery.
