A courier arrives bearing an official letter from the court of Lord Thraxas to King Sid:

Your Esteemed Majesty,

Greetings.

I am Esric Tal, factor, envoy and personal servant to Lord Regent Thraxas.

It is my sorrowful duty to report to you that the Lord Regent has disappeared. By that I mean, he has not been seen by me, anyone at the Castle, or any of his agents who report to me, for at least a month. He left no word, either verbal or written to indicate any reason for his absence. His personal items remain behind as well as clothing that I know he would have carried with him on any long extended holiday or journey.

I shall remain at my post for as long as I can acting as caretaker in his stead and making sure his possessions remain intact. I shall also continue to conduct inquiries and searches for him. If I learn anything at all, I will surely notify you immediately.

I have not reported this to the Director of the Maritime Union, but if you desire, relay it to him at your discretion.

Your news is quite distressfull, all steps to find the Lord Regent are at this time being put in place, My officals will quickly take over the daily duties of Lord Regent and I shall directly govern over the Yew terrtories in his absence. Untill he can be found ,please pass any of his appointments and meeting to me and I will see that they are overseen with care.
