Bones of contention. Might as well be a graveyard of them. Jagged pieces of conversation stick up from shallow mounds of dirt cutting into anyone who doesn't pay close enough attention. Currently that was Shri'hrae's life. One sawed off clavicle and a femur labeled Buc's Den and Abyss respectively protruding from a half eaten corpse labeled House of Calamyr rising from a grave labeled Morchiant. These were her bones of contention.
Somewhere in that corpse would be a silver strand labeled Poppet. You know the one, she thought, it's wrapped around that muscle called your heart. The new Drow, Iz'zril was a footprint near the gravesite. Aunt Felyn would be the whites of the eyes that had rolled back in the head. Drayden would be the cloth strips in which the corpse was draped. Olath would be the wood the corpse was buried in and Gorhun....
Gorhun is the epitaph, she thought with a sigh.... _________________ *Kitrye Ilhar's Yathrin, Kitrye Ilharn's Mirshann, Jal degahr* |
