Adrian felt a tug on his robe as he nailed the poster to a shuttered window in a darkened portion of town. He glanced down, his gaze met by two brilliantly inquisitive eyes. A young boy, who couldn't have been more than four, clung to the sage cloth of his robe with a grubby hand. Adrian smiled and knelt to say hello. The street urchin smiled shyly, his dark eyes wide as Adrian touched the top of his head and spoke softly.

"Here, little one. An apple for you, and one for your sister." He gestured to the girl who thought she had been hidden amongst crates in the back alley. "And take this picture...give it to your Mama." He handed a rolled, painted parchment to the child, who turned and ran, laughing, to his sister. Then the two disappeared into the darkness, leaving Adrian to his duties.

Arden stopped at an old broken-down wagon and smiled as she looked over the poster nailed to the sideboard.

"Dear Brother Adrian...it's about time you brought your wife home to meet your sister. I'll see you tonight." With that, she smiled and kissed her thumb, pressing it to the poster and hastening her step home toward Compassion Camp.

While roaming about in an exhausted daze, Xana noticed one of the poster fluttering along the ground, caught in a merciless breeze. She managed to seize it, and tack it up to the nearest building.
