Smoothing his well tailored cloths and bracing himself for the visit, the denizen--servant Marguth moves into the abyssal chamber of the Drow Lord, Gorhun Morchiant.
“Milord Gorhun, you called for me?” Marguth says in a respectful tone while bowing to his master.
"Xas, Marguth…these plans we commandeered for the Maritime Union are quite peculiar…they seem to speak of some sort of drill and oil…I am curious to why such a contraption would need to be constructed…” the drow lord says as he stands in the center of the room with tailors measuring him for a new wardrobe.
The drow lord motions for the tailors to leave his room as he moves to his desk to find the drill plans.
“These are the plans,” the drow lord says, his mask turning yellow, as he hands the plans to Marguth.
“These are quite odd, m’lord, diamonds…iron…this construct could cut through a great deal,” Marguth says as he examines the blue prints.
“I take it the drow were victorious last night?” Marguth continues as he places the plans in a pouch at his side and pours Gorhun a glass of wine.
“Quite…though no fighting persisted, and Isk was there again…Isk…now that is a mask I would love to put on display in the great hall…,” the drow lord says as he takes the wine from Marguth.
“Study these plans…see what you can determine from them…take them to the Masked Magus Orgollree'rean and see what he has to say of them. Oh, and tell the Viceroy I wish to speak with her,” the drow lord says as he waves for Marguth to leave the room.
“Oh…for the cause of Chaos…,” the drow says to himself as he sits at his desk and begins rummaging through various documents. |

Shri'hrae had watched from beneath her cloak as one by one the drow boarded the Union ship. It was a shame there would be no death tonight. But a victory was a victory none-the-less. She'd had very little to do with it actually but that wouldn't stop her from basking in the credit. As Viceroy, win or lose, it would fall on her shoulders.
She had seen the plans for the drilling machine. At least that is what it looked like to her. And whatever it's use they needed to find out and quickly. If this was what The Maritime Union had in the works, what else was there? Yes, perhaps it was time to increase the skirmishes within the rocky waters outside of Bucs Den.
With a hint of carefree and a smidge of longing she walked slowly up the waterside of Papua. He came into sight and both of those things vanished with the surge of heat rushing through her. There would be time, later to talk of them. Much, much, later. _________________ *Kitrye Ilhar's Yathrin, Kitrye Ilharn's Mirshann, Jal degahr* |
