Ivory was stunned. Damn that man for making her cry in front of everyone like that. And bless him, for making her heart soar. Moreau proposed, in the middle of the tavern, with the entire world listening. Ivory couldn't stop smiling, she had not been so happy in a long time. She had really begun to think of herself as damaged and undesirable. She was realistic, not many could or would cope with a blind lady. Moreau, her heart sang and she wondered if her feet even touched the ground. Love was for her too. Life couldn't be any greater than it was at this moment. Then she laughed to herself, well at least until she and Moreau had children. Her thoughts drifted in that direction....what if.. one of them were blind....how would she deal with it? She shook her head. She could hear her mother's voice, "Ivory, stop brooding over what ifs. You will only upset yourself" Her mother, oh how Ivory wished she were alive to on this day. Shaking herself from such negative thoughts, she smiled and thought about her future with Moreau.

*Moments before*

Moreau sat alone in the quite garden on top of Ivory's Sanctan estate, the wind blowing at his back... Moreau looked worried as he scribbled word onto a blank piece of parchment. "No this will not do!" he thought to himself as he clenched the paper into a ball throwing it aside and grabbing another blank parchment. Hours passed and with a smile Moreau cheered out loud "I GOT IT!" looking around to make sure he had not made a fool of himself, he looked over the now full parchment and began reading it to himself, looking for flaw, for these words to him could only be perfect, for its meaning was the world to him.

"Many people spend their lives searching for their soul mate, their one true love. Some people are lucky to find the person they can truly call the better half of themselves, while others spend the rest of their lives searching and never finding.
I am happy to count myself among the lucky ones, because I certainly found you. I love you, Ivory. I know that you are the only one for me, my one true love. I am happy and I am grateful that you came into my life, that where others have spent their entire lives looking for the one, I have found you. And now that I have found you, I shall never let you go. I promise you, Ivory, that I shall hold you and cherish you and give you my heart, that I shall support you and care for you. Faithfully, I shall always stand steadfast at your side with your hand in mine, regardless of what life would bring to us."

Moreau's face glowed with excitement as he quickly memorized the words. Shortly after Moreau ran to meet with Talon, who he would have to convince to allow this proposal to go any further.
