Reis sat quietly in her shoppe, tending to her business of growing flowers. She had known the skill for the greater part of her life, but had just recently taken to spending most of her time with the plants. Good flowers took time to grow, and she wanted to be known for having good flowers. Hard work and dedication to her dream had brought her a long way with this, but alas she had not the marketing skills to properly portray her works. This lead to her establishment looking more like an atrium than a place you would buy things. Either way, Reis enjoyed living a simple life, and life was much simpler without added trouble to worry about. This was why she normally allowed business to come to her, instead of directly looking for it. Little did she know, business would indeed come looking for her this night.

It was no surprise to Reis when Alexander walked in to where she had been situated. It was a surprise when he said that he thought he might have some business for her, though. Interested at what he had to say, she quickly asked questions as to what sort of business he might have for her. After hearing it all, it sounded rather intriguing. Apparently, there was a man who was in need of a flower for a long lost love of his. Not just any flower, either, but a delicate red rose. Flowers such as this were hard to grow and find, yet Reis had managed to do both.

Gathering the essentials needed to properly transport the rose, Reis made her way expertly around the small building. Alexander noted that she had gotten quite good at working with and around the plants she now kept. Reis smiled softly. Alexander would be a wonderful man and friend, and perhaps more, but he somehow had a crazy idea in his head that he was an elf. She wasn't sure how exactly he had come to be like this, but she was positive that such things did not exist, save for in fairy tales. After assuring herself that she had acquired all the things she needed, she informed Alexander that she was ready. He quickly fashioned a gate for the both of them to where Reis' soon-to-be customer was located.

After the formality of greetings and a quick assessment of the situation, Reis found out that the man had little money. The cause was good and she was sure that some sort of arrangement could be worked out. Prior to the arrival at this 'Garden', or so it was called, Alexander had mentioned something about poetry from the man. This was again brought up, and the man, who's name happened to be Elijah, seemed interested in exchanging a public reciting of a poem for a single rose. Reis, always up for helping out when she deemed the cause a good one, agreed to the deal. Sitting quietly on a bench while awaiting Elijah's return with his poetry, Reis looked over the tavern she was in. It seemed interesting enough but she was confused as to why there was a girl standing in a cage.

After a short amount of time, Elijah approached Reis and proclaimed that he had thought up a good poem. Telling him to start and listening intently, the poem began. It had been about a frog and a beast. The underlying tone seemed to indicate a man going through troubled times but overcoming them in the end. It had seemed like an interesting enough poem. Not wanting to give up the rose too easily, Reis decided on a final stipulation. Elijah had to ask people in the tavern if they liked it, and he needed to get at least three yes answers.

Elijah began questioning those in attendance. First he asked a woman named Scribble, but she seemed to be dazing off. Next, a man named Merteoe acknowledged that he liked the poem without being asked. After that, Alexander was questioned and he agreed that the poem was good. Finally, Scribble, who had noticed her surroundings, answered that she loved the poem. Elijah seemed to have earned himself a rose. Stepping forward to hand Elijah the rose, Reis congratulated him and wished him luck. He seemed very happy with himself.

After these events, everything started to seem like one of those dreadful taverns Reis had made a point not to frequent. Men began to fight amongst themselves and the women in attendance tried to calm them down. Deciding to sit and wait for Alexander to realize she was still there, Reis found a nice bench by the door. After not so long a time, Alexander did finally realize that she was sitting, and he walked over to offer her an escort back to her shoppe. She smiled and accepted. If only he wasn't a tad off in the head, he'd be such a wonderful person. He still was an extremely great person, but just a tad off.

After arriving at her house and saying her farewells to Alexander, Reis decided to end her day and begin her night. Changing into some sleeping garments and lieing down in her bed, she thought of all that must be done for the next day. Still thinking and planning, Reis eventually tired herself out and fell soundly asleep. Smiling radiantly in her sleep, any who could have seen her would know that she was happy for what she had done that day.
