Outside of the Stonegate Training Center...

Fiona stood quietly, lost in thought, as she brushed the silken mane of her dread warhorse. The conversation with the strange gypsy was still fresh in her mind.

It seems Kaylor was a Templar Knight with a fondness for the ladies. He was a King, as well. He also had an evil twin, who he was forced to kill in order to save the world. What sort of twisted fairytale had she stumbled into?

Fiona chose to lead a simple life, with as few complications as possible. She was the Keeper of Stonegate and, as such, she needed to remain focused. She was pragmatic and, for the most part, Fiona kept to herself. Even a seemingly innocuous conversation could lead to drama, which she avoided like the plague. So she simply took herself out of the equation by avoiding people, altogether.

Yet, for some reason, she was compelled to spend time with Kaylor. She wanted to make him whole again. She wanted to help him become a great warrior again...for Stonegate. Yes, that was it. She was doing it for Stonegate. She allowed herself a small smile as she came to the realization that this was not a matter of the heart so much as a way to further the success of Stonegate. It finally made sense.

Just as she finished that thought, War's head turned to look at her, his chocolate eyes staring her down.

"If you were truly as foolish as you are pretending to be, I would set you aflame and dine on your corpse." Fiona heard in her mind.

"You know nothing about relations between bipedals." Fiona thought back at him, her jaw clenched.

"Neither do you." War almost seemed to smile as he whipped his tail around to smack the back of her legs.
