Dear King of Sanctus Talon Skyfire,

I will keep this letter brief. The two of us are extremely busy men. If you are anything like me, you have far more pressing matters than to sit at your desk reading letters.

I wanted to clear up any possible negative thoughts you may or may not have. The reason I wish to do so, is merely because I received a; not so pleasant letter from the Wolf King. It expresses his angry distaste and desire to battle with Blackmarsh.

The other evening, Blackmarsh made an attacked against Tokuno. Along with us were those of the Ebon Skull. Yes, I know - oh horrid! Long story short, Soke Bishimi went against his word several times. Spies of his were caught in Blackmarsh, after he promised me there would no longer be any.

Apparently the head of the Umbra military thought it'd be something special to attack Tokuno along with us, because we shared them as an enemy. It's no secret that Blackmarsh has open trade with the Ebon Skull. Several of our citizens even find themselves having friendships with some of their members. It's also no secret that we have open trade and friendships with Sanctus.

Something you may not know however, is that I made sure to have specific terms in the trades with Umbra. I told the Lich Lord that Blackmarsh would not aid Sanctus, Stonegate or whomever in attacks against them. In return, Blackmarsh would continue turning a blind eye to any skirmishs Sanctus and Umbra may have. Let's be honest, they're going to happen. But I made it clear to the Lich Lord, that if Umbra -ever- pressed into the Sanctus territory, unprovoked, that Blackmarsh would step in. If Sanctus wishes to attack Umbra land and try to conquer it, and Umbra reacts, Blackmarsh cannot do anything about that. But if Umbra for no reason, attempts to conquer land directly owned by Sanctus, Blackmarsh will indeed aid Sanctus and/or cease aiding Umbra in any military fashion what-so-ever.

You were our first trading partners. You are dear to us in trades and in friendships. Blackmarsh will continue not to partake in any of the Malas Wars, unless directly attacked. We will not be helping the Ebon Skulls expand their land. We merely attack those in Tokuno as the ninjas have found themselves stirring in both of our pots.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me as soon as possible.

I would include meat and milk from Blackmarsh for you, but you'll be receiving a shipment this Wednesday, anyway.

Sincerely,
Denzin Bracken,
Emperor of Blackmarsh.
