Amdiriel A'Dae. With her blond hair beneath streaks of color and her Elvish accent, she was certainly not your typical human. She wasn't your typical female either. Most of the one's Aaron had met throughout his life would have been more than willing to hop into the bed at the Inn with him. This one took it upon herself to practically run the other way. Not that he had asked her, but her reactions was priceless.
He had been back and forth through the main branch of Luna, past the bank and the tailor shop all day. Not once had it occurred to him that those stairs had led somewhere other than an attic stuffed with more crap. Smiling at her words, “You just needed the right girl to show it to you.” he couldn't help but laugh. He'd been so damned lost during his trip and up until he had met Amdiriel, the days had just seemed to meld together in one sweltering mess. With her fishing pole never far behind and her voice, with its almost musical quality, he was sure that day would stand out for sometime to come. Admiring her silently he took stock of her well tanned skin and definitely female curves. She even had callouses to match his own on her hands from hard work.
Aaron was the first to admit he wasn't the playboy type. While he had had his share of flings he didn't run from girl to girl to girl as so many of his childhood friends had done. Still, speech to the female variety hadn't really been a problem growing up. So when he went to utter sentences to Amdiriel and came out with some really cheesy pick up line he would have been happy to slide into the shadows with his embarrassment and fade away. That was until he saw her grin and heard her laugh. Not only had she overlooked his verbal misstep but she's offered him an additional place to stay and food. FOOD. GOOD FOOD. “ Livvie you are so out of your league with this one,” he thought, recalling Amdiriel's Lamb Stew and chocolates. He was going to enjoy rubbing his little sister's nose in that at their next meeting.
He had regretted having to say goodnight at the Gypsy camp she called home. He regretted even more having to turn down her offer to stay there. Luckily she had agreed to show him which was up in the neighboring towns. If one thing was certain it was that he was going to be seeing a lot more of the girl with the elvish name. Grinning to himself at the possibilities he set off for Stonegate. It was time to check in on Livvie. |
