It was reported today that Malcolm McLaren passed away.

Regardless of how one felt about his music (I'm a lifelong fan thanks to my mum) or his style, he definitely had a hand in stirring the pot of the music world.

And god knows, the 70s needed a shot in the...*coughs* arm.

McLaren Dead at 64

Henry Rollins said it best when he referred to the Sex Pistols as the worlds first Boy Band, and Jello Biafra said it just as well when he told Johnny Rotten The Dead Kennedys were what the Sex Pistols wished they could be. And Johnny Rotten said it pretty well when he said, "Malcom was a pimp."

LOVE 'Never Mind the Bollocks' though.

Yeah the Biafra thing was great in its day.

But the whole thing started a snowball in motion that just continues to grow. It amazes me how a created band of people with little and/or no talent made such an impact.

Unreal.
