Myrddin knew what she was about to do, she could sense him watching her looking at the rock on the chain. Her hand let it slide easily like silk unto the stone. A lifetime of guilt slipped away with it. The Black Stone was pulled greedily into the Ether Stone. She did not know where this would lead, what effect it would have but it was....time. She stared up as she honored her parents, her father, Marus d'Rue who had fallen fighting for his family. It was no surprise to see her mothers face appear to feel the spirits essence close, protectively around her.

She would never run again... Her guilt was set free....

Many rose to stand before the stone that night, many spoke, heartfelt words for Grimmnor, Zeth, lost loves, lost family, even a unknown person that Stallis spoke of named Shasty.

When Ebon spoke of his remembrances for their brother Gnulffrag, it brought surprise and unbidden emotions immediatly to her core. Most around the stone did not recognize the name but those who did stared with great reverence at Ebon. She to missed Gnulf as she had called him, their advisor and confident, the wise wraith who had helped them so much in the early days of Umbra.

As if fate would bring more to her door, Willow walked unto the stone and another name of great meaning fell from her lips. Z'ev who had saved Merci's life in a valiant, selfless act. Stonegates strength today was because of his sacrifice. He gave his life, for this realm.

So the gate opened once more, and fire sprung up, Z'ev appeared. He had heard his mother Willows words, and had heard them all. For these moments he was sent back to deliver them a gift and a task. Once more Stonegate must prove itself. His words of wisdom hitting their ears.

Those gone are a part of you, by remembering us, you remember a part of yourselves.

Memories flooded into her head... a childhood lost, at last...she knew their faces....

The beast attacked...
