A Messenger arrives from the Merci and Bishimi, to Adrian and Soren Bishop.
Adrian and Soren,
Congratulations on your wedding, I am most displeased my husband and I could not attend. Our two weddings so close in nature I consider us part of a special club of newlyweds. In any case I wished to thankyou, foremost, for the lovely wreaths your people presented Bishimi and I. In turn I am offering you my gift, a windchime of icicles that will not melt no matter the temperature.
Enjoy my bit of winter on even the hottest summer days....
May your marriage grow in Strength and Love as you travel the road of Destiny.
Sincerely
Bishimi and Merci _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Picking up the icicles gingerly, Soren placed them in her sack with the rest of the wedding items. "They wil beautiful in the doorway of our tent at camp." Smiling she closed the lid and quickly grabbed a piece of parchment.
"Dear Furry Person Merci,
My husband and I understand your absence at our Wedding and celebration. I am happy that you sent a letter explaining though, even when you didn't have to. I have the perfect spot picked out for your wonderful gift and I will listen to chimes often in the summer breeze this year. I hope that things are going well for your husband and yourself. I would have sent a reply sooner, but the last few days have been pretty busy here. I hope to have more to do with you as days grow on.
Sincerely,
Soren (now Bishop, not Calestra)"
As is her way to do, Soren took a piece of leather stripping and wound it around the parchment attaching it to Stormy. "To Stonegate, girl." Reaching down she handed her precious beetle a few grapes from her pocket and carssed her crisp skull before watching her walk off into the woods. |
