After a considerable consult with the girl from Blackmarsh, Merrique located and spent a good deal of time discussing particular needs with one of the cousins talented in herbal mixtures.

The following day, Merrique picked up the box and carefully inventoried its contents. Each bottle, she carefully labeled to indicate proper use. Every bundle of herbs, she put into its own pouch and likewise added hand-written instructions.

When the items were boxed and complete, Merrique felt confident that all contingencies were covered. There was a potion for sickness, one for weakness and fatigue, one to help maintain the ability to eat, there were herbal poultices and teas for every possible ailment that might stand in the way of a healthy situation for mother and child. Merrique enclosed a note wishing Camilla the best of luck, and also reminded her to get in touch if she came to need additional assistance for any reason.

To ensure safe delivery, Merrique handed the package to Cal to deliver to Jarem with explicit instructions to be gentle with the package. She was grateful for the chance encounter enabling her to send the package directly, without employment of a messenger.

After Cal's departure, Merrique stood in her rooftop garden, facing the direction of Umbra.
