The one known as Edda, was sitting in absolute darkness. She had no idea how she ended up in this situation, she could not see a single thing. Standing absolutely still, she listened for any possible sound, but heard nothing. She opened and closed her eyes over and over again, her eyelashes padding against her face.

Just when she thought she may have lost her sight completely, she noticed a faint blue glowing out of the corner of her left eye. Slowly turning her head in the direction of the light, she gazed calmly as it grew closer to her. The closer it came, the clearer it appeared. As it approached its shape became apparent, it was a female. Edda nodded to her, recognizing her as Kaelthir, and made another attempt at looking forward, now that the pitch black shadows were softly lit by Kaelthir's glow. She continued squinting at the darkness in front of her, hoping to figure out her location.

Several moments passed before a sudden beam appeared, so abruptly it physically startled her. The light shone straight down onto a woman with dark blue hair, several feet away from Edda and Kaelthir. It cast a faint light on its surroundings, allowing Edda to notice that she was in some sort of fighting pit, bordered with rows and rows of stadium style seating. The woman stood in the middle of the dueling area with her hand resting habitually on her sword, though she was quite alone, looking rather livid and confused. She began turning in place, looking behind her back, tensely, allowing Edda to catch a glimpse of her face and realize who she was.

Kaelthir slowly took a seat on a row of benches behind them and watched the woman, with a slightly sadistic grin. Edda began scanning the benches across the way for more people. She assumed who else might be there, but, as usual, he was not allowing himself to be seen.

From the depths of the shadows surrounding the arena, familiar members of the Order stalked in, chanting softly in unison, bringing themselves into a circle around the woman. A smirk spread slowly across Edda's face as she saw them closing in on her. The woman glared at each in the circle in turn with pure loathing and obvious distrust. The chanting and movement all ceased at once and everything was quite still and silent once again, until two members of the Order shifted to break the circle, allowing the Lord Death Knight D'thal Morlith, to stroll into the middle. He stood in front of the woman and looked at her with disgust. He stood quietly for several moments, before emitting a terrifying screech. The woman cringed at the sound, and Edda quickly and quietly joined the others. All eyes were suddenly on her, and it was then that she realized they were there to witness something and that she was supposed to do it.

She looked to Kaelthir for guidance, who stood and made her way down to Edda's side, a box mysteriously materializing in her hands. She slipped the box into Edda's hands and stood back a few steps to observe what would take place. Edda held the box for a few moments before gradually pulling back the lid. Peering inside, she saw and empty lantern and many rats staring up at her with their beady eyes and another slow smirk spread across her face. Very slowly, she reached her hand inside the box and snatched a rat by the tail, the blue haired woman watching her with hate filled eyes. She walked over to the woman, standing very close, and leaned in so her chin was practically touching her shoulder. She dangled the rat above the woman's face and in a voice almost un-Eddalike, and in complete repugnance, she whispered "You ruined my life".

She released the rat's tail, letting it drop to the woman's face and start gnawing away her flesh as soon as it made contact. Reaching back in the box, she pulled out two more by their tails and dropped them on her chest. She stood, watching, as the rats ate a hole wide enough for the next step. Setting down the box, she removed the empty lantern and held it in her right hand. Plunging her hand into the hole in the woman's chest, she removed something white and glowy. Filling the lantern with it, she set it aside and went back to the box of rats. Strategically placing them all over her body, until the box was empty and each rat had a piece of the woman's body to devour.

The woman crumpled to the floor, and pieces of bone began to show, still the rats kept eating. They moved quickly, all over her body, munching. Once her rib cage was revealed, a coiled up snake could be seen inside it. The snake lifted its head and looked directly to Edda's face. Its eyes were black, and very familiar to her. It hurriedly slithered out of its cage and slipped into the shadows, as if it had been waiting to be freed. The rest of the Order began closing in on the circle once more, chanting softly as before. Kaelthir gave Edda a proud nod, and together they watched the rats consume what was left of the woman.

When Edda awoke, she was shaking and drenched with sweat, however unusually refreshed and energized. She was to expect a vision that night, but had not predicted something that gave her so much drive. Feeling inspired to practice Kael's teachings, she changed into dry clothing and located her necromancy spellbook.
