Emily d'Rue shook her head vehemently. She wanted to grab her grandson by the shoulders and shake him until sense flooded into his brain. She really wasn't sure that would work. After all he may be brilliant in her eyes, but he was also a d'Rue and a male. Both of those things gave a preclusion to common sense. And if by some miracle you could interject common sense, they often ignored it! "Of all the testosterone filled things to do, he gets a saying burned into his chest! KORIN!" Emily shook her translucent fists side by side in the air.

She had watched as Ciara had given him the ingredients to cool the burn and keep it from itching. At least someone was there to look out for him when he did such idiotic things. Emily understood Korin on a very basic level. His pride and his ego went hand in hand. Not so much that he was a jerk, although he had moments. But enough to where it over rode his judgment from time to time. This was one of those times. Smiling to herself she thought of Ciara. Yes, she would be there to keep him out of trouble, if the boy would just get it done.
