Enjoy your corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes!

Oh.. and the beer!

Corned Beef isn't an Irish food..
*starts a huge debate over a simple thread*

No it's not...but it's a TRADITIONALLY CHEAP FOOD.

So early Irish immigrants to America would buy it and eat it as it was one of the few affordable bovine meats. Hence the tradition.

I also never stated that it was Irish. But it is what I had for breakfast. Yum!

It's also one of the most disgusting pieces of meat in existance. Why do the Irish celebrate by eating gross food? *goes on a rant about the nastiness of eating corned beef and cabbage* Also, worst day ever to be protestant Irish! Evil or Very Mad

Past all that, I still like St. Patty's Day. Good job on the avatars Cein. Very Happy

Do you really love the lamp, or are you just saying it because you saw it?

Also please note that cabbage (as a locally grown crop) isn't supported by the climate of Ireland, but instead comes along with the reference made by Darrien.
