The room was dark and quiet except for the sound of his voice, deep and resolute. It washed over her as she listened and she was surprised at what she was hearing. Myrddin was asking for help. Now they had always helped each other their bonding always being an equal partnership. She indeed loved him, immeasurably. However this was something she had not expected. In most things they had solely worked for their own causes. Hers was to emit chaos and the directives of her clan and his was to lead and strengthen his clan. Yet they had one cause in common, this she understood. To the point that inadvertently, the actions of Ciara, Malikhia and herself had brought an angry rampaging mob down upon the people of Stonegate.

It was in his next decision that he made, that he proved himself smarter then most people she knew, and she knew some powerful wizards, some otherworldly types in her line of work; so that was indeed a high compliment. In this moment she could see parts of Mairsils strength as a tactician, and keen intellect springing to life in his son, she was impressed. Tactics always won a war, and while she had seen countless letters to the Wolf King, on some counts villafying him, on other counts plastering him with compliments one letter had stood out in his mind.

It had begun long ago, she remembered how interested Myrddin had been in running into one of his father, Mairsils, old friends. The man had come to speak and visit with them in Stonegate. She equally remembered Myrddin's dissapointment on learning the loyalties this Izrem now shared to the Ebon Skull.

Yet it was here now that he had turned to her and asked for knowledge from a source that had vast resources of it. Someone who had served and lead in the Ebon Skull for years. One who had spoken for centuries and would speak for centuries more that thine allies greatest strengths were also their weaknesses. That the most dangerous thing was knowledge. It was in her surprise that Myrddin asked now that they be taught everything, the known history, the strengths and weaknesses of the Ebon Skull. What had lead to its destruction and triumphs. So that he might know and understand his enemy from the inside out.

The bed felt colder now as he rose and dressed turning to head out for his duties. The path of the King, was never an easy one. Yet Myrddin was not proud nor ignorant he was in his own right brilliant.

The Ebon Skull had put a dark shadow on the world of Necromancers, giving people a reason to hate. They had built things of destruction, killed needlessly, and there were necromancers out there that would not stand for the treacherous reputation they had put upon a great and noble magic. In fact many of them were tired of it. A work of Art was Necromancy and it was intricate and detailed. Not some barbaric means of bloodletting. There were vast kinds of necromancers, not all were the ruthless, religiously devout zealots.

There was one person that they had underestimated, in fact Darrien himself had done so to his own flaw. He had paid a price. Nightshade now rose, her hand moving to her mouth where the entropic magic had jolted her had shocked her core and knocked this young woman to the floor. She wondered what lasting effects this would have on her. Her mind filled with thoughts of what she might write to him what she might ask. If there was one thing about the man she called teacher is that he loved to expand minds he had in fact debated with Sanctus on many occasion of their beliefs. Now it was imperative that Stonegate had the acute understandings of Oblvion and the Order and were well aware of what weaknesses they might exploit.

She sat down at the desk, pushing away countless letters of anger to Myrddin and Stonegate a soft smile creeping across her face.

She Wrote:

Dear Teacher,

It has come to me your ever learning student that we must always grow and learn in our knowledge of our enemy. So it is the tone of my letter. You have valuable information that could be indeed greatly helpful to the people of Stonegate. It is after discussion with Myrddin and our mutual respect of you that we ask you, Former Ebon Skull, Former Head Necromancer of Umbra, and lastly the most recent one to gather a force and defeat Darrien church...

That was indeed a good start to her letter...
