Several nights had passed since she dared to move. She had gone and explained everything to her beloved Ian as he slept in his coffin. That was the easiest time to talk to him. The trouble is....He woke up.

He was seething in rage when he read the notices of the Blood Hunt. "I should kill you for this. But I won't. Dying, even diablerie, is too good for you! For Hell's sake! What am I going to do with you Kelly!?" He held nothing back in the punch that found her jaw, knocking her into the wall several yards back.
That was only the beginning of the punishment. He grabbed her and threw her from one end of his lair the other, from foundation to ceiling, cellar to rooftop. Punch by bloodied punch, Ian Nottingham had beat her until she went unconscious. He'd then wait for her to regenerate enough befor the next barrage of attacks began.

Kelly opened her eyes and looked at where she was. The room was dark but she saw well enough to know she was still with Ian in his lair. He stood in an eerie silence with his back turned. Kelly got up and walked toward him.

"Ian...I...." Her words were silenced by his sudden turnabout to face her. Rage still in his eyes. She heard him flex his fists. She lowered her gaze. He lifted a hand and pinned her to the wall by her throat, feet inches off the ground. She did not resist. She knew he'd likely beat her into oblivion. The punishment she had already taken no fledgling would have ever been able to survive. But she was no fledgling. She was Ian's equal in power and age, give or take a few years. They had been through thick and thin together.

"Kelly. You know I have never been one of words. " He gave her a rough kiss upon her lips and then let her go. "You have a LOT of patching up to do." He walked away and vanished.

She rubbed her throat but then out into the night.

Indeed she had much to patch up...her first order of attention was to the Gypsies.

At the same time, she had to watch her back since she gained the ire of the Order of the Ebon Skull. There was no apologizing to them. They had already set their minds on her destruction. She had never heard of a Blood Hunt ever being called off. She would deal with it. Being hunted was something Kelly was used to.

She cracked a small and very brief grin. Bring it. Lich. I will be the thorn in your hallowed eye socket, the thorn in your flock's sides. She thought as she rode off to Minoc.

The people of Minoc were now frightened. She felt the fear as if it were a tangible thing. She moved through the shops, speaking to each shopkeeper behind closed doors and shaded windows. Truth was they weren't afraid of her. They feared both the Order and the gypsies. Wanting nothing to do with them. Wanting peace as it was. Many of the townsfolk set for higher ground or Vesper until things were settled. Kelly recommended to the people to at least relocate their families to Vesper. There was plenty of room there and no threats had gone that way.

Most the shopkeepers chose of course to stay in Minoc. Offering their loyalty to the Cappadocians as they had for the past year. The clan had cared for them and watched over them peacefully for so long. Kelly stood at the bank and saw all the proclamations and decrees. She ripped them all down. Cleared the boards and walls in a fit of rage shredding every last one, including the one she had written. She then picked up the pieces and disposed of them before opening her book and heading to Luna. She could at least clear her thoughts there in a semblance of peace whilest watching the people.

She hoped.
