Edda wandered and wandered around, from town to town. She felt weird in Zento, and she felt weird everywhere else. Takumi was home with the baby and she just needed a walk. Time to think about what was going on. She put her hands in the pockets of her jacket and just walked slowly, kicking pebbles. Apparently, she was coming to a bank, because there were a couple people standing around talking. They were talking loudly about a battle.

She thought to herself. 'I'm so out of touch with my Lotus family.. My hearts just not in it anymore. I've completely lost sight of what our goal is.. "
She recalled home, and sat at the table writing a letter to the Soke. Then, sighing heavily, she stood up and removed her chaos blue quiver. The one that she wore so proudly. The one that had once held Shinto in when he was a secret. Then she unwrapped her Shihan red belt, and her coal gray elder jacket, and let both fall. She folded it all and gathered it in a bag, tucking the note inside. She pulled on a hooded robe and headed to Zento.

Stealthing inside the teahouse, she slipped up to the meeting room. She opened the container on the table and carefully placed the bag inside.

Looking around for a moment, taking it all in, remembering it the way it was, one last look at her chair at the elder council table, and she turned and walked back downstairs. She looked around at the teahouse, which she once laughed loudly in, shared Sake with her husband, and let Shinto take one of his first crawls on its floors. She'd miss Ni'xuin, and her quiet polite smiles. She'd miss Wang and his spectacular tea. She'd miss Garrett, and his grumpy mumbles. She'd miss Crawler's crazy attitude, and she'd even miss Borris. But most of all.. she would miss Bishimi. She loved him with all her heart. He was the closest thing she EVER had to a real father. She knew she had let him down.. and she assumed she'd never be forgiven for this. But she just couldn't keep going.. without her whole heart still in it. She wasn't sure where she'd go or even what she'd do.. She pictured the look on Soke's face when he read the letter.. Her eyes welled up with tears and she turned and headed out the door. Once she was down the road far enough, she recalled home, tears streaming down her face.
