Greetings Dealthagar,

Arahim and Adrian just visted Charnel Hill, and wanted me to pass a message along to you. They discovered who the Minoc murderer was, a Cappadocian vampire whom they left unnamed. They said she openly admitted to the killings, and that if we were to ever allow her into the Order it would strain our relations with them. Considering these vampires have been particularly disrespectful to us, it might be a lovely time to go on a blood hunt. Or at the very least, let the gypsies know that we are no friends to them either. They also warned that the Cappadocians may approach the drow and try befriending them. Izrem mentioned that he was planning on sending a letter to the Drow, it would be worthwhile to ask him for details. If we plan this right, we could have the Cappadocians arrested the moment they step on Umbran soil. I am certain Ariana would find that most delightful.

Sincerely, Kaelthir

Disheveled and bleary eyed, Dealthagar wandered into his manor. He had spent the better part of day swathed in cowls and robes at various libraries around the realm, and was ready to finally sleep. Fate would not be so kind.

Several Umbran messengers, under his standard orders, sat in his entry hall, holding copies of missives posted by Lord Church. His major-domo, Sularis, also sat in the room, sheparding the young necrosages, holding a letter.

Taking the papers, he dismissed them all and began pouring over the documents. The gypsies were fine, the murderer was found, Solanaceae was still going to go and foster things with the gypsies, the murder was a Cappadocian, the Lich wanted her to report and submit, but was also demanding her to be harmed...

He closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead, ghostly images of the Stygian and Gargish writing he had been translating for the last few days dancing in his vision. Such as it was, the writings were still only half complete, victims of time, entropy and the failure of man to prepare for his own future and end.

Letters would need to be sent. Notices would need to be posted. Will would need to be enforced. Punishments would need to be doled out.

Sleep would have to wait.
